That's due to the fact that typical facts, a shared fact, and a readiness to recognize our fellow people throughout tribal lines are the most essential ingredients in enabling a diverse, pluralistic culture to find together to self-govern.


For much of the very early life of the country journalism was, generally, freely partisan, with newspapers aligning with different intrigues, beliefs, and politicians, promoting advocates and attacking opponents.
